Well, it's not really against any law to have a dog in a mall, so no... no
fine for pretending. They are just thrown out and asked not to come back.
I suppose if they came back anyway, that would be trespassing, and could be
hauled off for that. It's fairly easy to spot a dog that's just a pet, if
you know what to look for.

Denying a genuine working dog access carries a $10,000 fine. The business
and persons involved could also be sued for civil rights violations... That
could add up to some serious dollars.

OK. I'm confused. The *dog* is “just thrown out and asked not to come back”? If the dog comes back, the dog would be trespassing?
