Hey AS, would you mind giving a general idea of how much the sniping with AS has increased over say the last 2 years?
Just a ballpark figure will do. Don't mean to pry into business secrets. It's just that these days I seem to see a whole lot of sniping. Most items I bid on seem to get more snipers than early bidders. (And that's notwithstanding that often you can assume some snipes didn't go through, due to the rapid bumping up of the price.)
Maybe 3 years ago, I'd only see (or think I'd only see) at most 1 snipe, rarely 2 snipes for an item. Now, often I see 3, even 4 snipes get through in the last 10 seconds. Often I'd guess dozens of snipes are set up for the item.
Just wondering if there are hard facts to all this. I realize not every snipe is an AS snipe but anyway it'd be interesting to know what your growth has been like.
One thing I'd bet is, you've picked up a lot of European customers in the past 2 years. Right?
(.... and no, you other people, I'm NOT a shill for AS, am just curious whether there's in fact far more sniping on ebay than there used to be, even a year ago.)
