this is something Im worried about ive got an item coming up tonight at 1 30 am and I think its going to go high as its a fairly scarce item but im scared to bid too much too much, its going for $20.50 and Im the highest bidder at the mo but I lost my last one with too low a bid so I havent had a sucessful snipe yet

There is nothing magic about AuctionSniper. It
places a bid just as if you had typed it in by
hand at the last moment of the auction. Ebay's
proxy bidding system uses the smallest amount
necesary to:

1. Clear the next highest bidder (plus the
bid increment).
2. Clear the reserve.

It also helps if you haven't put in a proxy bid on the item you want. The whole object of sniping is defeated by that action. The idea is to come out of the blue nowhere at the very end of the auction and blow every proxy bidder out of the water. You're partially to blame for the bid amount being so high, susieboxer.
