Hi,Help please! I'm a long-time auctionsniper user and had something unusual happen to me today. I'm upset because I had the two following items in a bid group set to only win 1 item. This is a bid group I have used before and its worked. This time it bid on BOTH Items. These are expensive items and I'm now out an extra $62 + additional auctionsniper fees.

I double checked the bid group to see if I accidentally set it to bid on two items, and found it indeed was set at 1.

Does auctionsniper refund money lost due to a defect in its program, or am I Stuck with the bill? -Celeste

These are the two auctions:

(Item #3601412800)

(eBay Item #3601412617)

This isn't going to be of great help, but this is from AS' faq:

"28. Can I add two or more bids with the same auction ending time to a bid group?

Sorry, no. It is impossible for us to detect to see if you have won a snipe, and then cancel the rest, if they end at the same time. You should allow at least 30 seconds between bid group items to give us enough time to determine if you've won the first item."

Your actions ended 94 seconds from each other, so it should have been OK. My guess is that it had something to do with the close ending times for these two auctions.

Hopefully someone can give you something more definite.
You created just a folder, *not* a bid group.

Thus every item you put in the folder will be bid on.

You need to check the box "This folder is a bid group" when creating the folder.

You can tell this for sure because when you click the "manage folder" button it does not show that folder as being a bid group.

Also when you click the "Folder" drop down box on the My Snipes tab there is no bid groups listed. Instead you see the folders you created in the "Folder" subsection of that drop down list, *not* in the bigroup section where they would belong if they were a bid group.

Last but not least when you enter your sniper there is the "Folder" drop down. Click it. Again you will see an empty list of big groups, but will see your folder in the Folder section. Again indicating that it was created as a nomral folder and not a bid group folder.

The difference between the two is that folders are made merely for organization. While bid groups are made to bid only on a set amount of items that you specify at the time you create the bid group.
