After using my three free snipes, I tried yesterday to join auction sniper using my visa card. I put the card numbers in wrong and had problem then on. So, I decided to use my paypal account and paid throungh this site, (using auctionsniper page to do this). Paypal is showing auctionsniper was paid. My balance page on this site shows I have a blance in the amount I paid through paypal. The modify account page shows I paid through the visa, which supposedly did not go through. I also tried to snipe an item on ebay. The snipe page showed ready, but at the end of the auction no bid was placed, HELLO!!! Can someone PLEASE help?

Welcome to the Forum..
Seems to me you have a few issues to deal with.
#1 Pay pal and visa charges

#2 not being able to use your visa directly from the AS site

#3 Snipe was not placed.

#1 If you have Pay pal set up to accept only a credit card. It may look like your visa was charged. I had a similiar experience with PayPal.
#2 you will need to ask Sara or someone from the AS staff to help you on this.

3# If your snipe bid is lower than the ending amount AS will not place the snipe but usually gives you a message as to why. But without more information it is really hard to help you figure it out. the auction# and if your max bid was more than the ending amount. Also the time in seconds before the end you had the snipe placed. If it was busy you may have had too short of a time.

So as you can see there are several topics you touched on. Hope this helps to get you started.

Thanks Teracus for the reply. I didn't lose the auction because I was outbid or tried to snipe it too late. My max bid was about $10.00 above the winning bid, and I put in my snipe about 6 hrs before the end of the auction to be sniped 5 secs before auction end. There is some kind of screw up with AuctionSniper and my account with them. I won all three of my free snipes, so I know how to use auctionsniper. The problems started when I tried to join. I'm still waiting for a reply from AuctionSniper reguarding this problem. If anyone else has a suggestion on how I could solve this problem, it would be greatly apperciated. I am very worried about my credit card situations.

No.

We place any snipe that is entered. If you havent paid you cant enter snipes. But if we let you enter a snipe, we snipe it, reguardless of whether you owe us $0 or a million dollars.

What does the snipe confirmation say? And why for sake of mercy does nobody ever check that on our site. I have to admit I'm getting pretty tired of checking it when it's right there in your account.

I just checked your account. It was your mistake.
You have no such snipe. You failed to enter it correctly.

Unless you see the snipe as "Ready" on your My Snipes tab then it's not entered. You never entered it. So we never sniped it, simple as that. Your error, not ours.

You probably tried to entere it before you had paid, or the paypal made it to us, and we rejected your snipe with a red error message which you didnt read. So it was never entered into our site.

I'm about 1000% sure of this.

Just be sure your snipe is entered and we'll snipe it.

You know Sara, your rather cocky and nasty in your reply. Intially the sniper page did say READY. I'm not stupid! As I said before, I used my three free snipes, with no problem. Computers are machines and are not infoulabe. Even if the mistake was mine, there is no need for such a snooty response from you. If thats your attitude please do not bother to respond to my questions. Your attitude makes me regret trying to join this service. Since your so smart, why didn't you try to give advice on my credit card situation. Newbies Welcome? Obviously not by you! Confused
Sorry if I sounded crabby. I take it personally when it's claimed we didnt snipe. Espeically something as random as a snipe just disappearing which anyone reading it might think it could happen to them.

If that were the case it would still be in your account and it's not. Once in our database it would be extremely unlikely to just disappear. In fact in 2+ years I've never seen that. Maybe what you saw was one of your other snipes you already had entered that said ready.

That is true, mainly because they were created and programmed by us and we are prone to misktakes. Usually though given the option between a database error, and a human error, I'd bet my life on human error every time in a life or death situation.

As for your credit card that may be better discussed via our support request form. You can find a link to it at the very botton of the help tab. You should provide a little more information that was given here beucase I wasnt clear on what the problem was.

Sound.. you may want to bump your sniping placement at 9 seconds or so. If there is high traffic on the system your bid may miss due to a delay of the network.

Sara is not snooty she is the expert. You asked for help through this forum and I hope you have been able to resolve the outstanding issues. This topic is like the kids in the back seat asking, " are we there yet? Are we there yet?" So I can understand her frustration. I don't think she was targeting you specifically, I think that statement was more for the others reading these posts as well.

Yea, I just saw her walk in.

I was trying to help someone up in support, but haven't had much luck. Getting 'Unreg user message' Told him to hang in there and she would be in.

Why? just wondering. Thinking if I said you'll have to ask Sara, would be nice to say about what time to expect an answer from the goddess.
