Hello everyone, look at the newbie. Good now that is over here we go.

I signed up, hell I even paid my 5.00 buck (Its just 5 bucks right) And I'm rather excited about using this service. I have lost a ton of tech by just fifty cents or less. I told my wife and she said its cheating. While I'm not feeling guilty about the issue have any of you received email from another buyer pissing and moaning about losing the auction? I felt like it a few times with something I really wanted or unique items.

After reading a lot of the posts I decided to set the lead time to 5 secs. Because I know how long it takes for a page to refresh and how long it takes to bid.

Do any of think of this as a dirty little secret? I found out about this on NPR today. Not this site but ones like it.

Anyway, nice to meet all of you.

It happens. Hasn’t happened to me. Kind of funny, would seem almost rewarding, when it does happen. Nothing the other bidder can do but send a pissy email (obviously or they would have). They have to go thru ebay’s message system to send it to you, so let ebay know if it should happen. I have heard from other users on this forum that they sent the pissed bidder a link to AS and occasionally the pissed-at-snipers bidder converts to sniping.

Sellers can be are a little more intolerant, although most don’t care. It appears that the sellers, when they do get upset, get upset when someone uses a service versus placing a manual snipe. I know, it doesn’t make any sense – a snipe is a snipe regardless of how it was delivered. The only way a seller will know if you used AS is if you tell them, or if you don’t TURN OFF AS’ INSTAMAIL OPTION (see “Modify Account” on “My Snipes”).
