Got more free snipes?

Hey, no complaints or anything.
But I've been using AS for a while and and have been very happy.

I took a break from ebay for a short bit and checking back here, it says I have 3 free snipes.

I don't remember referring anyone, in fact, I'm sure I haven't.

Are free snipes normal?
And again, I'm not complaining! ;-)

If my memory is functioning properly (which is a very optimistic statement), I think that AS sent out an email a ways back to inactive users giving them some free snipes to encourage business. If not, then perhaps this is a serendipitous (I’ve been looking for an excuse to use that word) bug.
