I copy anything I want here to my own picture file..right click, save picture as....and then I upload to village. If you look at the top of the village home page it says "pricing". Scroll toward the bottom of that page and it explains each level in detail. I can tell you as much as I have used it and uploaded nearly 200 pixs, the % used is small!

Rick, just either go up to my post of the picture and right click on the image or do the same on the page at AM. Greeting. then click on save picture as...and click it. Then go to village and click on upload and use the browse version... click it, find your pix, click it and upload from the bottom of the browse box. Make sure you have downloaded village's new java first. To answer your question, yes.

Hi All,

Some hired help would be wonderful! Volunteer cleaners, dog walkers, animal feeders and chefs gratefully accepted!

I've had an accident when dog walking this morning and pulled a muscle in my back, so I'm not sitting still at the PC too much today. It seems to hurt more when I'm sitting still than when I'm moving around. On the other hand, I've got a website to finish and I have bid on another PC... the auction finishes in about an hour and I'm hoping that I'll swoop in and grab it! Big Grin

I had really get started on cooking our supper, because it's going to take a while, and then of course, there are those nine bowls of dog food to prepare.....

I will have to go and have a scan of the TFT screens available - if I'm lucky this time, I'll need a screen to use the new machine with, won't I? Wink Perhaps I'll peel the potatoes and then wander over to eBay and see what's on offer.

It's starting to get dark here....and it's only a quarter to six....winter is on it's way - hooray!

A rather creaky SuperSqueaky
Wow - my name in lights!!

Thirty minutes to PC snipe - and counting....

The microwave is telling me the vegetables are cooked, so it's supper time....sadly, since I took some ibuprofen for the pain in my back I can't really have any wine with the roast chicken...can I?!

I'll pop back in after I've eaten and tell you all how I've got on. In the meantime, here's me with Blaidd (nearest the camera, now 13), and Vargen (fantastic lead dog, tragically taken from us by cancer at only 9 years old.) I look really energetic in this photo - don't let it fool you - I'm quite lazy really!

SS
That graphic was just the best yet, Mrs M!

I expect that the SuperSqueaky cleaning service is really good at removing unwanted chicken, cheese, eggs, gravy, fish, etc etc, but useless at getting rid of anything else. They also leave a lot of dog hair in their wake..... Big Grin

I am going to be able to entertain my friends with that URL for ages, Rick!

Anyway, on to the real stuff before I go to bed. AS strikes again - I got the high bid on the PC I was after, and at a VERY reasonable price. The seller has 100% feedback (and plenty of it) and has already contacted me to confirm the end of the auction. I have a rather better feeling about this one.

Well, I've got to get up early for work in the morning, and as we speak I've notice the real SuperSqueaky has his front feet on the kitchen counter and looking for edible items to "clean up", so I had better go and remove him! He's the only one of the nine who has worked out how to jump the baby-gate into the kitchen, and the others just look on in envy as he surfs the floor and benches for food. Roll Eyes

Good Night all!

SS.

Sometimes problems work out to be blessings. Wink Good-night SS.

It seems that I remember something about that, but I can't remember what I remember about it. Big Grin
Mrs. M,

I do like it. I think the pix is perfect. It adds some humor, it's catchy, lively, but not overwhelming. One small suggestion would be "Mrs. M" instead of "MRS. M". That's a personal preference, but the caps seem a little harsher. You could also experiment with putting the pix first, followed by your name.

Just some suggestions, but I like it over "M R S M" and that growing flower thingy (although that was pretty - it was just hard to read anyone's post with that vine growing off the right side of my computer Big Grin).
Hi Everyone!!

Hi Mrs M! Smile
Hi Rick! Smile
Hi Lexie! Smile
Hi SuperSqeaky! Smile

Gosh, I hope I'm not forgetting anyone. Confused

I apologize for dropping out of sight so suddenly- I should have mentioned I was going to be away at a Veterinary conference this weekend.

I am the president of the Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Managers association and had to run the meetings.

Its good to be back!! Smile

I missed all of you - I haven't had a chance to catch up with all the postings. Anything interesting happen while I was away?

I hope everyone is doing well and are just as sassy as ever! Razz
Mrs. M,

I think I understand your "defensive" statement.

If you knew you were the best at something, maybe you would be defensive if someone accused you at being the worse.

What if I said you were the worse granny? What if I said you were the worse wife? What if I said "bite your tongue"? Might you not get "defensive".

Consider what Moses did when he delivered the 1st 10 C's.

It's obvious to anyone that takes the time that you are a good granny, wife, and shouldn't bite your tongue.

People's expectations of AS are 10,000% higher then they are for themselves. If AS didn't get "defensive", I would be disappointed.

Also - The customer is NOT, I repeat, NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT always right.
Morning-evening, Lexie! Don't worry, it is not true. ALL of us make it a fun forum, including you, Rick, Billie, fordfalcon, Squeaky, and everyone else that pops in here! SmileEveryone, that is the key to it.

Mrs. M

Speaking of "popping in"... Hello!!

I was interested in the line of discussion Rick and Mrs M were having about defensiveness and how it relates to customer service.

I wonder if much of the intent of a person's statement is lost in the written word.
It can be so difficult to accurately convey an emotion or feeling through the written word if you are not a good writer.
Even if you are, emaphasis can be plced on a word by the reader that wasn't meant to be emphasized and the meaning can change.
Hi gang - I'm on my lunchbreak and having just finished a bit of a colleague's birthday cake I thought I'd have a quick look at what's up.

We are all quite philosophical today, aren't we?

The "fridge" photo was not only hilarious, but also rather appropriate - last night, knowing that (because my back's so stiff) I couldn't pick folks up and sort out naughtiness the pack created:

1)Three bowls of dinner dragged off the bench and thrown all over the floor and walls
2)Five dogs who had extra dinner because of being there when the above was done by the pack leader
3)One dog fight when the second youngest decided to try and steal dinner from the eldest ***** (not wise, she's one hard woman!)
4)The shepherd's pie I had made and left on the bench ready to put in the oven after dog feeding eaten by SS while I was trying to sort out the fight
5)Various people lifting their legs up the walls and door while I wasn't looking
6)The washing basket upended and dirty underwear spread throughout the house....

or ?

Today my pack leader, Shamanu, is at the vet's having a pneumocystogram. I'm hoping he's just got a bad case of cystitis. Hmm.....bjt - do you know how to get a dog to drink cranberry juice??

SS
Sorry to see you go, Diva, as I have said before. Always enjoy your posts. Frown

Squeaky, I just saw your post regarding why you asked why crap was ok. I didn't know what word you meant. Hmmm, a little strange, I agree, not that you can use one and not the other, just that the word that was censored was, in that context.

Mrs. M
Hello Everybody,
How are you all doing this morning?
I haven't been posting much for the past few months. That's because I've been going back to school and getting my master's degree on line through the U of A (University of Arizona). And they feel obligated to keep us really, really busy....
SuperSqueaky, I used to show Boston Terriers and know exactly what word you used. My sister didn't speak to me for months after I called her female Brittany the "b" word. This picture was at Village Photos.

Gotta get back to class--one of the professors posted a nice long lecture and homework. Seeyalater!
--Christine
That's a lovely picture, Christine - it looks a little like Vargen.

Bostons are quite difficult to breed to a high quality, aren't they? From what I know about them their heads are quite complex from a show point of view.

I'm having trouble keeping up too, although it's partly my fault - I started another thread about signatures and now this conversation is split between two different topics!

Time to feed the dogs - then David and I - I'm starving!

Bye all - see you tomorrow!

SS

Ha! I heard you all talking about me so I had to come into the forum and see what it was all about.... Big Grin
You're right about Bostons, SuperSqueaky. The head is very important in a show dog.
A neighbor has several Siberian Huskies. They like to "sing" at night.
Well, it's getting late. Here's another picture for Rick and Mrs. M.

Good morning Rick, Billie, Ford...evening Lexie and Squeaky!

Interesting pixs, Ford...how's classes going?

Squeaky and Ford, I'd comment on your dogs, but it is out of my catagory. My limit on the subject is "if you get a dog, you'll take care of it, not me"! That was always my famous last word on the subject before I dutifully marched out to clean the pens! Eek Big Grin

Rick, didn't see you in here much last night so I signed off . Smile

Lexie, how's that sweet little boy doing? He is really cute. I'll bet you husband is really proud . Wink
