Yes, I remember all of the little towns all along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
There was a restaurant in Menomonee, MI that my family used to stop at each time we traveled "up north".
There was a museum made from an old ship that had been recovered from the great lakes.

So many memories... Smile

My parents have since sold the cabin, but I still have many fond memories of the U.P.
I especially enjoyed the Lake Superior shoreline. My favorite place to go to was Au Sable and play on the dunes along the shoreline.
So many wonderful places to see...

OK, I better quit now - I've chased everyone off with my sentimental nostalgia!! Big Grin
Good morning;

That image sure does wake up a person.

There's been 5 of us (Billie, Lexie, Mrs. M, WarriorNun and me) that have left images since Saturday. I'm the only guy. Is that because the other guys are too serious, or is it because I'm not serious enough? Maybe they are too shy?

Rick, the U.P. stands for the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. It resides just above Wisconsin with Lake Superior bordering it.

It is a heavily forested, not too developed wilderness area. Both Mrs M and I have spent a lot of time there and have very fond memories of the U.P.

A lot of lumberjacks lived there due to its large lumber industry back in the early 1900's through the 30's.
Its time to rise and shine!!

Confused I dont even know where that comes from but my hubbie sings it all the time. You have to imagine it in an awful monotone with no ear for a tune though!! Wink

Did I hear Packers?!?!?!?! My little boy has to wear Packers stuff alllllllll the time and I havent ever even seen them.

Sorry I didnt reply after my little tantie!! I was trying to get a groovy forecaster in like Mrs M - but it didnt work.

Speaking of work...LOL...I should get ready to go there I guess.

Heres a pic of my little treasure in his Mum's football team colors......
