Apparently the answer is don't

Ebay have pulled Auctions that have a link to AS.

Stick a link on your about-

page instead.

I've done this and earned NO free snipes so far!

You can't - eBay will cancel your auctions. Of course, you can always include a referral link in your me page, your website, your winning bidder emails, your second chance emails, and your replies to bidder questions. I've done that, and got several referrals.

Of course, my auctionsniper banner (http://spam.corecodec.org/as) gets about 15,000 views per day, and so far it's generated a total of 0 (zip, zilch, nada) referrals. One of these days...
