German AS snips not close enough !

Hi,

the german AS snipes not close enough. Of course you can define this in the snipe box (e.g. 5 seconds before the auction ends, what I do always)

But the sniper did not snipe 5 seconds before the auction ends, he snipes 30 seconds before auction ending. Consequently I have been overbidden in the last seconds. (auction ended at 21:30:00)

the same thing happened here: (auction ends 20:00:00) and I placed the snipe with 5 seconds before ending. The Auction sniper sniped at 19:59:20

So what can I do that the sniper snipes correctly ?

Only one thing - change your lead time to 30 seconds, or 45 to be certain.

well, that would not make sense, because AS snied 30 seconds before auction ending. But I want it to snipe 5 seconds before auction ending.

As adjusts the lead time at busy periods (especially Sundays on auctions that snipe on the hour (or 1/4 hour)) so, to ensure your snipe went in at this busy period, it's added 25 seconds to your lead time. There is much debate on the forums about this - send an email to suggestions@uctionsniper.com and see what they say. Chances are you were beaten by an automated snipe anyway but who knows...

Oh, and add a few cents/pence to your snipe so that you'll win in a tie!

R2 (lead time 8 seconds, let down only once by AS so far!)
