Free Snipes

53. How long do I have to use my free snipes?

There is no specific time period in using your free snipes. Snipe when you like, today, tomorrow, next month, whatever.

Check out InstaMail on "Modify Account", use 8 second lead times (more on Sunday PM), and consider giving AS your credit card info instead of sending Paypal after your free snipes are used. There's a bunch of posts on each of these. If interested, use "search" at the top of this page.

As far as InstaMail goes, you'd better deselect it. EBay will not allow this feature as a part of a regular auction since it contains a reference to Auction Sniper which is a no-no. Good way to get kicked off eBay.

I understand that ebay considers it a no-no to put a link to AS (or anything else) on an auction page. But, I've never heard that ebay has a problem with InstaMail, and I can't remember anyone saying it was a "good way to get kicked off ebay".

I thought the InstaMail message contained the link to AS, which is why it should be deselected. If not, then I sit corrected.

InstaMail does contain a link to AS, but I'm not sure that's a capital offense with ebay. But, we agree that it "should be deselected". I don't like to say that because I think AS' marketing department views that as a source of acquiring new members. I'm not in the sniping service business, so, I'm going to avoid saying that I disagree with this.
