From AS faq:
Your maximum bid will be in the currency of the auction. If the seller is accepting US dollars, then a max bid for 125.75 will be for 125 US dollars and 75 cents. And if a seller is accepting German marks, then a max bid of 75 will be for 75 German marks. There is no need to make conversions. Simply enter your maximum bid in the currency that is being accepted.
eBay should also have a converted price in US dollars underneath the price in GBP or whatever else it is in...also, there are sites you can go to where you can convert currency. Try checking out www.xe.com, I use it all the time. Then again, I deal mostly in items coming from Japan, that's why. Wink But I also deal in items coming from other places in the world too (Australia and Hong Kong I get quite often).

Just because Ebay does this DON'T assume the seller will accept $ until after you have asked. In any case, the Ebay exchange rate is nonsense, based on an imaginary bank that charges no commission and has no exchange rate margin. Add at least 5% to what Ebay says to get an idea of what you will actually spend.
