first time using sniper and have a ?

Must I place an initial bid on an ebay auction before I can use the sniper. Right now there is no bid on an auction I am watching but I have a max bid in using the snipe system. Also my status is "ready" how do I change it to "success" bid placed.

Hi,

No need to bid on eBay first. In fact it's a bad idea because it tips off other bidders that there might be competition for the item and they may place higher bids beacause of that.

"Ready" is the correct status for a snipe that is waiting to go off. Once we snipe we figure out if you won and change it to success or loss for you.
