First time I lost something to another sniper - had the snipe set at 8 seconds, went in at 10 (no problem there) but someone else bought it at 5 seconds.

But I wasn't willing to pay more - so he outbid my snipe. Even if I had been latter, he still would have won since his bid was higher than my maximum. So I'm not upset at all, becuase I wouldn't have changes my maximum, even if I had known (not like those proxy bidders that Rick likes so much).

Just a little surprised that it's the first time it's happened.

But as we all know there will be plenty of other things to spend my money on in the future. Smile

That's happened to me a couple, three times. My bid goes in at 8 seconds and somebody comes along with 4 seconds and snipes my snipe. With intervals as short as that there's no way the other snipe could have been a reaction to mine. But as you say, even if my bid had gone in at 2 or 3 seconds all I'd have gotten would have been a "You Have Been Outbid!" notice from eBay. There'll be other times, other auctions. Smile
