We have a snipe for an item that shows no bids to this point on ebay. Our snipe shows "Ready". Are we correct in assuming that the snipe will open the auction with our bid at the correct moment? Or, does there already have to be an opening bid for snipe to beat. This auction closes in 3 hours and we are newbies! Thanks.

That’s correct. But, there could always be another sniper around, so do specify the maximum amount you think the item is worth. Actually, there could also be a late proxy bidder that bids in the last hour or so. AuctionSniper will only place one snipe for you, so make it your best.

Good luck.
Just think of AS as being a robot version of you! It doesn't need to sleep and has lightning reflexes. Thus, at the appopriate moment, it bids your max (ie. the amount you set up) as if it was you. No-one will know any different (unless you have instamail switched on! Turn it off!) and, provided yours was the highest bid, you'll win!
