Failed to place snipe ....

I don't know what particular item you are referring to, but you can usually check what happened with your snipe by going clicking the "Confirmation" button.

Same problem. No bid was made on an auction that closed at $5.00 when I had a snipe set for a max of $16. Item closed with no input from AS in the bid history on eBay. Item shows "You Did Not Win" on AS, with NO data provided when I click 'Confirmation'. I had the recommended 5 second snipe time set. Something very wrong here.

Me too.................I placed a snipe for $16 and the item went for $9.
Whats going on????????????????

I too had this happen on 11/24/02 on something I
really, really wanted. I have been going back
and forth with Customer Support who, of course,
blames it on ebay being down. The time my auction
closed did not correspond to when ebay was down.
Two hours after the auction closed, I checked to
see what happend, and it was still sitting there
waiting to be made.

I checked my AuctionSniper history, and on that
auction, it simply said "Did not Win", with no
explanation. I thought I was due some kind of
consideration from Customer Support (free snipes,
at least), so he sent me to this link to obtain
free snipes for "Did not Win" or "Not in Time"
messages:

Two free snipes is what I got - big deal, but at
least it is something.
