Failed Snipe :(

Hi there,

I had set up a snipe on an item, but it failed.

Here is the reason provided by ebay/AS:-

Error!
Invalid NPB information.

Can anyone shed some light on what exactly this means? The snipe was accepted just fine when I originally set it up.. Its a shame because I really wanted the item

NPB - non-paying bidder?

AS will accept a snipe from you without checking against eBay until the time of the snipe. Only then will it check that your ID and password match eBay's and that you're allowed to bid on the item.

I think that the suggestion here is that eBay thinks you're a non-paying bidder and you're locked out for bidding. If this is not the case then log a support call via the HELP tab on AS...

I have had a payment reminder sent through recently, but I have just manually entered a bid on an item that was accepted so I dont think Ebay have locked me out. Besides, that would seem an odd thing to do as I have good feedback and this is my first ever payment reminder.

I'll send in an official support request.
