We only check once a day. So your userid and password still may have to be updated.

If you haven't updated your userid or password on eBay recently or since you last sniped then ignore this error message. In that case it may mean that our program that checks isn't functioning correctly. This happens when eBay changes the pages we use to check and make sure your userid/password are working. Then a programmer on our end just needs to update our code. You'd need to do nothing, and your snipe would be placed correctly.

In short if you've changed your userId/password since your last snipe with us you need to update it on our site. If not you're ok.
I reckon they've made a decision to let AS rest on its laurels - it works OK 99% of the time, mugs like you (and me) answer many questions on their behalf so they're away on other projects whilst the money trickles/flows into the coffers.
If they were interested then Searches would work, lead times wouldn't be an issue and we'd be talking about adhesive bras or nurses outfits!

Hi Community,

Sorry about the confusion. The reason this erroneous message was returned is because eBay's sign-in servers were exhibiting some undesireable technical problems that caused many of our sign-in attempts to be rejected even though we were submitting the correct information. This problem appears to have lasted from about 6:48 PM PT to 8:55 PM PT last night.

When we are unable to sign-in, we also automatically flag all of your snipes with the "WARNING - Your stored username or password might be incorrect!" message as a blatant reminder to the user to update this information in case his/her stored username and password are incorrect

As long as you have verified that your username and password stored within your Auction Sniper account match your current eBay information, your future snipes should be placed successfully without requiring you to do anything differently.

I have had this on most of my 100 ish snipes about 4 times recently.
Other than going through the list modifying each one, the only alternative is to delete them all and then re-import them all.
Either way it is a real pain. Can support gives us a simple answer to a couple of questions -

Do Snipes still work when this message is on them?

When is this problem going to get a permanent fix? Looking through the forum it has been happening to people since early in the year.

I have been using Auction sniper successfully for more than 2 years now but if this sort of thing is going to keep happening I will seriously consider paying for an alternative program.
What is the point of having a community 'support' forum if none of the questions get answered?
People have been having this problem from at least March and it still hasn't been succesfully answered to anybody's satisfaction!
Worse still, the problem has NOT been resolved.
Come on support - GET YOUR FINGER OUT and solve the problem.
