One very powerful way to build a business is to turn first-time customers into repeat customers. This not only helps you to save on marketing efforts and costs in the future, but it also helps you to better cater to your customers. For example, if by talking to your customers you find out that there is a big demand for a certain type of product, then you can look for opportunities to sell them that product. This creates a Win-Win situation where you have satisfied their needs and made money, too.

If you conduct business online and you don't have a mailing list, then start one immediately. Everyone who buys something from you through Ebay should be contacted and asked if they would like to join your mailing list. If someone contacts you with a question, you should send them a friendly invitation to join your list along with your personal response. Don't spam your customers... make it worth their time to be on your mailing list.

Ebay restricts the methods that you can use to contact your customers, but they DO allow it. You MUST take advantage of these opportunities if you are to maximize your online auction profits.

Remember... ask your customers lots of questions and always try to find out what they are looking for. The more you communicate with your customers and the better you know them, the easier it is to make money on Ebay!

Happy Ebaying!
