Hi all,
Over 2 months ago I opened a Store a put quite a few items in it.Some of the items had been selling quite successfully in normal shop but I have sold absolutly nothing from the Store.
Has anybody else had the same experiance ?.I thought the idea was that it would sell more items, but it has not worked for me!
Derek.

Many, and probably most, never see your store items.

Most buyers find items to bid on using search auctions. Store items are sometimes displayed, but only if the search turns up less than one page of results, and even then, they are displayed way down at the bottom with a price higher than the auctions above that have not yet ended.

Don't have a store myself, but you will have to advertise. Are you still listing auctions and including a link to your store for 'similar or identical items' as part of your description?
Puppy, I don't have a store either nor have I ever wanted one. The only thing I ever buy from a store are my mailing envelopes I use in selling. I buy them from an actual supplier that has a business on the outside. Like you mentioned, most things are at least cheaper and more appealing, at the start, on auction.
Thanks for your responses. Not quite sure what you mean with "have a link".When my normal auction site is visited there is a flag saying "visit this sellers Store".Is there anything else I can do.My computer skills are fairly basic so it would not need to be to technical.Surely when my normal site is visited my other items are on view are they no ?
Thanks again for your help
Of those that view your auction items, few will look for a store link unless reminded. People will read your item description, but not look to see if you have a store. You should at least include, prominently, 'Visit my store for similar items' as part of the auction item description.

Here is an example of the problem you are having. Go to eBay and search for 'half pcgs ms69'. I found 13 items that match, but >THIS (click here)< item was missed. That's because it's in a store.

The 'THIS (click here)' above is an example of the 'link' I mentioned. You don't really need the link part, but be sure to at least mention your store as part of the description in a regular auction.
My take on the who store issue is, keep the store, but also some auctions listed as well, that way people can see the store when they search up the various auctions.

To me that's the only way it seems to make sense. Also you could list on half.com a few small items, books or dvd's and such and then all of those hits would see that you have a store as well and may take a peek...
