quote:As the above responses point out, sniping is far from against any kind of eBay rules. HOWEVER, that e-mail is way tacky.
As a seller, I love last-second bids on my auctions (usually snipers have great feedback and pay right away).
As a bidder, I hate it when I get outbid at the last second, and if it's something I really want, I'll snipe it myself. I'm cheap, and will often get outbid, but putting in my max snipe bid (I use AuctionStealer) and walking away, I know I've done the best I can, and I'm not going to have any weird stuff pushing my bid up.
But I would NEVER send an e-mail to my bidders, or put in my auctions information on how to snipe. That's really tacky.
