Im in the UK and normally use ebay.co.uk

I bought an item on ebay, I live in London uk seller based in Manchester uk. Now I used auctionsniper.com to snipe the item in the last few seconds and seems the sale went through ebay.com.

I raised a dispute as item was faulty but could only do this through ebay.com They then emailed me today saying I have to raise my dispute with ebay Canada. Basically this is causing me alot of problems.

How can in future I use auctionsniper but purchases made using ebay.co.uk

Thanks, Its actually quite a biggie of a problem.

I tend to snipe high value items but with whats happened it looks like I will lose my dispute because they are treating me as an international customer when the sale was only ever UK to UK. Now no one wants to deal with it.

Ive got to phone ebay.co.uk today and hopefully I wont just get a monkey that wants to dismiss me straight away like ebay.com have.

aquanuke,
Best to use the link I left, unless you're OK with a region2 "I suspect". I suspect not.

Im familiar with the ebay api but have only used it for displaying items, not bidding. If auctionsniper use the api then it should be a simple case of setting site id to 3 rather then 0 for UK
I had the same problem mate - I had escalated a dispute which then just got stuck because it was across jurisdictions (ebay USA / ebay UK)

Ebay.co.uk can't deal with it, period.

What I did in the end was use the "contact us" option on ebay.com then the "live chat" messenger function. They're on Pacific time, so you have to wait until 1pm our time to open a chat.

I got through to a lovely lady called Ruby who sorted the problem out within minutes, and then chased the escalation through and I got a full refund within the hour. She said the systems don't really work for international issues and it needs a human to take control.

It's a pity that AS doesn't (as far as I can tell) have the option to snipe your local ebay, but I guess the timings are so critical they need to snipe the nearest ebay server which would be ebay.com.
