I just got a message from eBay after they cancelled one of my auctions. It seems having a link to Auction Sniper on your auction listing is now a violation of eBay policy. Here is part of the e-mail I received:

"However, your listing was in violation of eBay's policies. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your listing is not permitted.

Your listing contained the following information:

2 active links to "AuctionSniper.com"

Although members may place a simple link to further describe the item being sold in the description portion of an eBay listing, the following links are not permitted:

(6) links that encourage buyers to place their eBay bids through a site other than eBay."

This is news to me, I have been running auctions with the link ever since I signed up. Has anyone else had this happen??

It's been this way for awhile. That's why auction sniper doesn't automatically put links like that in your auctions anymore.

Try putting it on your "About Me" page, and put a link in the auction for people to go there to find out about how to win an auction without staying up til 3 a.m. :-)
