eBay Auction, Place Bid - "PAYPAL ACCOUNT REQUIRED"

As needs only that your password to eBay and AS be the same so that they can access your eBay account to place your snipe, nothing more. You pay at paypal. AS needs nothing from that end of the transaction. It is a preference he checks just as he may check not to include you if you have too many negs. If you bid directly, it would be the same way that eBay would verify it. After I read rick's post, I did rethink it and perhaps he is right. eBay will probably refuse it if it is not linked.

Your ebay ID needs to be added to your Paypal account, otherwise the snipe won't work.

Thanks all! Actually, my eBay ID is registered with AS and I have no problems sniping using AS. This is the first time I have seen an actual link and wondered if it was something that is a preliminary logon to PayPal before I could even bid... I just placed a bid on the item and verified I didn't have to provide a logon to PayPal before the bid took. I should have tried this first, but I thank you all for your time and effort!!! I learn every day!

Glad it worked for you. I thought that it was automatically linked together, but I am easily swayed and then I thought, well, maybe not! Hmmmm I do that a lot!
