Sometimes, during heave traffic hours, AS will adjust lead times to insure a snipe is placed. If they estimate your 5 second lead time may not get registered at eBay, they will attempt to increase lead times. This does not happen often. Not knowing the auction number I just have to guess, but your auction probably ended in the evening between 7:00 and 10:00 and ended on an exact quarter hour. Too many items end on the exact quarter hours because of the way scheduling for sellers works at eBay. If you had tried to manually snipe at 10 seconds, your bid probably would not have been recorded.

Was I right? and did you win?

Oh, and Welcome to the forum.

p.s. if that is your real e-mail address I suggest you change your display name or just drop the @ and every thing that follows. Your forum ID and display name does not need to be the same as your AS ID.

You can do that by going to 'MyPop' at the top of the page. Go to the 'Profile Tab' and changing 'Display Name'
