Several times lately I've been entering so many snipes that I've inadvertently entered the same snipe twice. The system doesn't recognize it, and at first I didn't even see the error. Luckily I've caught them by really checking over the listing carefully. Isn't there a way for AS to alert me when this happens? Also, how is this happening? I'm not conscious of entering the snipe twice. What if I mess up and don't see the error in time to cancel one of the duplicate snipes? Would AS go to all the trouble to place two snipes? If my bid wins, guess I only get charged for one snipe, right?

By the way, I like the new feature that tells us our snipe amount has been outbid! Nifty!

Yes it would snipe twice. We allow this because some people want to do it as part of their sniping strategy.

They put in one low snipe at say 20 seconds. To try and thrwart manual snipers. Those manual snipes would then theorhetically enter just a bid to outbid their low snipe.

And since manual snipers only have time to do 1 snipe they then have their second AuctionSniper snipe go off with say 4 seconds left with their true high max snipe price. Leaving the manual snipers no time to rebid.

To be honest I think it's always best to just bid your max at the last possible time since giving other bidders any inidication that you are even going to be bidding tips them off that they need to bid higher.

I suppose we could still give a warning that that item already has a snipe entered though.

Thank you

Sara - Yesterday I said how great it was to see the bright yellow on the screen when our snipe is underwater to the current bid price! Tonight I see an upcoming auction where I'm set to snipe at $98.98 and currently it's $228.50, BUT, there's no bright yellow band and message telling me so! Are we having trouble with the new gizmo? It'll be an invaluable feature when it's working full time! Smile
