I'm apologizing in advance if this seems like a dumb question, but I had a recent dissapointment and I'm trying to prevent that from happening again. I have set up a snipe and it appears ready. The snipe page said I was logged on. When I came to the forum, however, I was not logged on and had to enter my username and password. Is this as it should be? Confused The two are separate?

The two are seperate - I use AS at University and have noticed that the forum requires an additional log in (it is, I believe, a 3rd party product).

Trouble is, I cannot remember my ID and password so I can only lurk on the Forum when I'm not at home. Can someone remind me how to find out who I am?!

And while I'm in the 'dumb question' thread - what does Pop-It! do?

You do stay logged on to the forum, unless you log out, or clear your internet cookies/cache. I am logged on from both home and work.

However, the forum name does not need to be unique. I use the same name and password for both AS and its forum. The forum is powered by Infopop, as are several other forums that I visit, and I find it easier to use the same name wherever possible.
Chatter,
Yep, you are correct, I didn't mean that username/password had to be different but that you needed to sign up for the forum as a separate action from signing with AS.

Although, if your eBay username/password is the same as your AS username/password, I wouldn't think it would be prudent to also use that for the forum. (just being paranoid, I guess)
AS Rules ! Eek Eek Eek
