Does modifying your bid change the date/time the bid was placed?

I sniped an item the first day it was listed for $231.00 - now it is a couple of days away from the end of the auction, and the bidding is getting close. Say I wanted to raise the bid just a little (I do have a new bid price I might be willing to go to) - and someone else has bid that same new price. As I orinally did the first bid 5 days ago, will it keep that date or use the day and time I modified to the new bid price?

AS and ebay are two separate companies. Adding a snipe to AS has no impact on ebay until the snipe is actually placed. The ebay date/time stamp on the snipe won’t be effective until the snipe is placed, which will be the time the snipe was placed (same as with making a direct bid thru ebay). Anyone that places an equal bid before your snipe is placed with ebay will have precedence.

Your statement about making a bid 5 days ago isn’t accurate. You’ve only added a snipe to AS, but you haven’t made a bid with ebay.
