Welcome to our forum!
Think of your snipe as a last possible moment, one time placed proxy bid. That is exactly what it is. As sends it to Ebay at the last moment possible and Ebay bids only what it takes to bid above the highest bidder to win. That is, of course, if you placed a high enough snipe to do so!
See the complaints from several users today under "sniper missed my bid". 3 similar complaints have been recorded in the last few hours and I wonder just how many others are being affected.

The auction sniper support section seems merely to be sending out responses which show a complete lack of research (or even interest) in the problems.

A.S. warns in this stock response that it is risky to set the lead time at 5 seconds or less. It is not a maer of having too short a lead time. My lead time always has been 11 seconds. If A.S. had bothered to check they would have seen this and not just suggested that I set my lead time to between 7 and 12 seconds to avoid the problem.

I am afraid that auction sniper will have to work hard for me to have any more confidence in them. Gizzie.
Region2,

As always you have been helpful but tell me this. You said AS will place my $200 BID and eBay's Proxy system will handle the rest for me. If current bid is $129 and let's suppose I win the item, AS place $200 as my highest bid will eBay Proxy servers change my bid to $130 or will AS change it for me to $130 (bid $1 more?) because don't want to waste $70 dollars if I don't need to. Waiting for answers thanks.
