9. When can I add, modify, or cancel a snipe?

You can add, modify, or cancel a snipe as long as there is at least 3 minutes left until the auction ends. When the auction is about to end, you may notice that a lock will replace the Cancel and Modify links. In the event that you have not refreshed the page, and the Cancel and Modify links still exist for a snipe that is ending in less than 3 minutes, any changes made will be disregarded. For reliability and performance, our bidding system prepares snipes three minutes in advance and so you must make your changes before this time.

Yes, I understand and have read that...However, the modify and cancel buttons were replaced with a delete button. I may be wrong in thinking that it means I could delete the snipe before it fired.

I am not upset about this just curious as I have never really tried to delete a snipe that close to the end.

You can delete the snipe anytime up to 3 minutes. This is one nice thing over using a proxy on Ebay that you must live with once it is set. Once it is past the three min. mark, it goes to the sites to be sent to Ebay.

According to the FAQ, you have until 3 minutes before the auction end time. I'd go with that unless Sara says otherwise.
