Hi, folks! First-Time Newbie here... This is probably a VERY dumb question, but I'm so paranoid I wanted to spell it out just to make SURE:

I do NOT have to be signed in / logged onto AS at the time my snipes are scheduled for them to be sent, right?

(I won't be home when the auction I'm bidding for ends, and I'm assuming that's the whole point of AS - But I just wanted to make SURE that once the snipes are scheduled I can be signed off, logged out, gone, computer turned off, fishing at the lake, etc...)

Only because it sounds too good to be true!!!

Can't WAIT to win that item!!! (fingers crossed...)

You don't have to be logged in to AS for your snipes to run. And hopefully when you come home you will see you are the big winner! :-)

Something to double-check if you can before heading out: Make sure your lead time is sufficient. We have learned that there are peak times when eBay traffic is higher and therefore you may need more lead time to get your bids in before they close. Weekends are busier, evenings are busier, and the quarter hour, 1/2 hour, and on the hour times (on the dot) are busier because that is when scheduled listings upload.

Everyone has their preferences, but I've been very successful letting my snipes run with 15 second lead. Occasionally I've adjusted it up or down a few seconds, but 15 seems to work very well for me.

Set your bid as high as you are willing, and set a sufficient lead time, and you should be all set!

GOOD LUCK!
