I think I agree.
Consider this scenario:
I have been away from my computer, but I know an auction or two has ended recently. I open
My Snipes, then select
Ended or maybe
Won. Then I need to wait while the page loads, scroll down to the bottom, click on my
last page of wins, wait while it loads, then scroll down to the bottom to check the last entry. Whew!
(OK, so it's not really hard and doesn't take too long.
Still, it seems a bit awkward.)
If this were a handwritten list, naturally one would add new items at the bottom; our current configuration may be just a mental carry-over from that. For our purposes, though, perhaps it would make better sense to order the
Ended, Won, Lost lists with the most recent first, as it would make for a more efficient process with fewer steps.
I presume changing that, or allowing that as a preference, would not be a difficult programming task. What would be more troublesome, because it introduces the possibility for fresh bugs and a rash of complaints, would be to add functionality to the
You've Got Wins! message, so that to click on it would lead directly to a report of those recent wins. (But do we want a button that says [ I]You've Got Losses! [/I], now really? Bad idea.)
Having said all that in too many words, I must also say it is a minor quibble with me, not a grievance. Still, if the Powers That Be are asking for suggestions, go ahead and make this one. Makes sense to me!
