There is a famous little "Pen Store" down in Wall Street - Only about six feet wide. The store was started 200 years ago by a man who used to write letters home for the imigrants for a small fee - to help them mail money back home to their country of origin. That might have been the Quill Erra. I bought a Gold Shaeffer there 30 years ago - but use it now only for Christmas cards. It isn't a dipper though. My mother had one, and a inkwell in her farm school desk. Those were blotter days..
Gads, I not only get it, I remember using one in school!! The ink, I believe was 5 or 10 cents a bottle!

These are new, and don't have nibs ... but as a collector, you might find them interesting (I have one that I use as a display piece).

Thankfully I believe these were still in use at least into the 40's, so my image of you hasn't changed

Do a search on 'Murano +Glass' and see what you get
Murano is the region ... tommasi is just one of many business's located there. They have particularly nice stuff though
Yes, I've paged through the Murano Glass searches many many times... Murano and Venice are VERY high on the list of places I'm gonna visit when I get rich!
