I think it must be the amount of posts which determine your title. I wonder if I can customize the them. I'll go look.

Yes, I can change them! Notice how Neva's title is 'Sniper' and others are 'Junior Sniper'. Guests will read 'Guest Sniper'. It was set so that when someone posted 20 messages, they moved up in rank...but I lowered that to 15.

Too bad there are only two titles.

I'm certainly glad you enjoy my posts! I can be so slow on the uptake sometimes, I figure someone out there will benefit, hahaha. And when I try to be humorous, it just sounds the same--dense. Heaven forbid if I should create more confusion!

Adam R., your magic wand has wafted our way yet again. It would be nice if there was a special designation for veteran snipers, those who have a lot of experience both with the art of sniping and this program as well. Maybe something like Senior Sniper. That way we regulars could recognize we were in the presence of the big dogs. Of course, your title ought to be Master Sniper, don't you think???

Neva.....I think your posts are just fine.... and your suggestion about using A.S. to win auctions and having the wins count toward our "Sniper " title was on my mind also....but thinking about that now, it would make a lot of work for A.S. Support to verify that....I've had LOTS of wins using A.S. and will continue to snipe and post with whatever title I have..

Well...I'm now an official "Sniper"...thnx to Adam for lowering the # of posts to 15...and taking action on my original post question about the diff between jr. sniper & sniper...All around pleased with AuctionSniper and the Support Team !!

I disagree strongly with the concept of basing status upon number of successful snipes. This would create unfair anomolies eg:

Some people place fewer snipes because:

they are bidding for fewer but more expensive items so finances have to recover
they are bidding from outside US so have to add shipping/import charges
etc etc

It would be unfair to advantageonea group because they had more money to spend and therefore did more sniping. As the old saying goes - quality not quantity.

I'm a veteran eBayer! I've been buying mostly, doing a little selling, for years now. AS is a dream.

I think more titles would be fun. I'd like to be Master Sniper. Or Grand Sniper Elite. Something glitzy like that.
