Didn't meet reserve

Hi,
I'm new to auction sniper, and bid $63.00 on an item with a 5 second lead. My bid was registered at $37.00, (which was $1.50 above the next highest bidder), but did not meet the reserve. Did it not register my top bid due to lack of time? Should I have specified a longer lead time? If so, what would you suggest for auctions with a reserve, to give you time to hit the reserve?

If your bid registered, then there is no issue concerning lead time. Your bid was simply not high enough to meet the reserve. When it is not high enough, it simply registers at the next bid increment, so as not to reveal your true max.

To me it does not matter if an auction has a reserve or not. I decide my max in advance and set the snipe, as usual. If I bid high enough, I win; if I do not bid high enough, then I do not win, same as in any auction. Whether I am outbid or just did not meet the reserve is an academic question, since the result is the same.
