I just joined AS because something very strange happened. I bid on an item... it was at $275 (my bid) for several hours. For the final hour it didn't change. I set my maximum bid at $325 (I know now not to do that). In the final 5 seconds I was outbid at $325.01. NOW!!! Was he just LUCKY?? How did he know my maximum bid was $325?? Is there another program out there that can detect what the high bidder's maximum bid is?? Did he just guess lucky that my maximum bid was $325 or was this a really strange coincidence? Does AS work that way - that it snipes one cent over the current bid? I didn't think ebay's increments worked like that. Just want to know if something fishy is going on or if it was just luck on his part and I should just suck it up and be glad I have AS now so I can get the next one....?
