I had snipes ready and tried to login to AS to make some changes, but I just got a server error page (saved it for reference). I know it wasn't my ISP as everything else was working.
The page I got was titled

Server Error in '/' Application.

It described a runtime error

Now that I can get back into AS - my snipes are all in LOST folder, but the snipe I wanted to change was won by another bidder for £142. My max bid was £160. The snipe was set up correctly, so what the heck happened?

Happy to supply details -tell me what to post.
I want to understand what happened. Was it me or the system?

Thanks,

Andy

Rick, yes I read the post re power outage - it was posted 10min after my post. I assumed that was the culprit. Aren't UPS's meant to protect against that sort of thing ?!

My bid group fired, but not a regular snipe - all in the timing I guess.
However, when trying to add the item number for a credit, the system reported not in database or the credit has been issued. It hadn't. I will try again later.

Thanks,

Andy

Good, reasonable question.

I bet it wont get answered though!
I understand that all systems and networks can experience occasional problems, but where time sensitive (and possibly financial) data is concerned, this is quite worrying. I was bidding on high value items (£1,000+) and needed to amend my snipes and couldn't access the system due to a power outage? Surely power supply back up is THE most important of back up's.

nope - still not being given the snipe credit
You might want to give it some time – a couple of hours? If no go, you should file a support request (tell them you already tried the free snipes link):

I've left it around 24hrs and it didn't work ,so I've completed a support request.
