Desperate for feedback

Wow, sounds to me like overkill... It doesn't take a lot to get a point across...generally, I will only say this once with a seller if I happen to be in communication with him/her...I will say "Thanks for letting me know about such and such, I will leave you feedback once I receive my item and hope you do the same"...sometimes I won't even say that. It all depends...but seems this seller is being strangely desperate... I guess they like their feedback a lot... Though I must admit, everyone enjoys having a good word said about them, myself included.

I never ask for feedback. I reckon if they are happy enough with the item that they will leave it and if they arent I am sure to hear about it anyways.

Recently I have found that buyers are holding out on feedback until after I do theirs.

I did have one lady plead with me to leave feedback - her email informed me "that I get as much of a thrill out of receiving feedback as I do the item" - I replied that feedback was completed and then I got another email saying she was sorry to be a pain but hates it when no feedback is left blah blah.

I do understand about being desperate for feedback. I always leave feedback. My feedback record says that I have left 4,898 feedback comments about sellers/buyers (I'm by far mostly a buyer) and I only got 4.244 feedback comments.
That is why I really get desperate for feedback. There's a gap of bore that 640 feedback comments on my credit...
It is elemental civility to retribute a comment when a transaction went well and you're pleased with the other part.
And it is afundamental part of the eBay business!
I don't understand people that don't leave feedback. Really!!!

I don't understand why feedback is such a big deal myself..

Many many sellers and buyers are AFRAID to leave anything nuetral or negative sounding. Therefor, you cannot gauge a sellers reputation on feedback alone.

Some people do not even WANT feedback. Feedback makes it easier to track someones bidding and selling habits as items are active for 90 days and can be tracked through feedback, but a bidder/seller search only goes back 30 days.

Feedback is not mandatory. Never was, Never will be. Don't take it personally that someone does not leave you feedback quickly. It is their option.

I personally leave it when I get around to it. I HATE IT when people hound me about leaving feedback. One buyer did not like my slowness in leaving feedback and emailed me multiple times within a week telling me (not asking me) to leave the feedback he 'deserved.' I gave him the feedback I thought he deserved all right..

I am not scared to leave neg or neutral - if there is unjust feedback left for me I can always reply. Honestly - so long as I dont get heaps of "DID NOT POST" - what harm can it do?
