Under Comments and Suggestions there was a topic for 'How bout a test thread'. I used that topic to test my signature. Every thing was great.

Later I used it again to modify my signature, and to see if I could delete a post.

Near the upper right of the screen (after hitting edit) I clicked on 'Delete Post'.

I don't know if the post was deleted, because the whole topic disappeared!

Did I delete the whole topic for everyone, or just me? What's up? How should I have done it?

Well, I don't know which post you deleted, but if you clicked delete and then clicked continue on the bottom left, it was gone forever for everyone!

You deleted it for everyone. I don't think you could have done it any differently. You could use that same icon to change the post to something like "HI EVERYONE". But posts and topics are deleted all the time.

Whenever we are trying things like animations, etc., we try to do it in the general post area. This keeps us from confusing the information threads.

I understand the post I deleted is gone for everyone, but the whole topic and ALL posts?

Sounds like a problem. I shouldn't be able to do that!!

I didn't start a new topic. I did a reply under an existing topic. There must have been 15 posts, and only two of them were mine.

I am a little lost, Puppy. Are you using search ? Anyway, you can see it is still there. Thanks, Rick.

Go to search and in the first square, type, how about a test thread. It will bring up about three things. Click on the one by book and you should see them.

Well I guess I won't be deleting any more posts.

If I say something I want to take back I'll just edit and change to HI ALL.

I was starting to think I would become an expert with just this one question!

Just be careful because I think there is a time limit on how long you have to change things. I'm not sure on that though.

Yes, Sara, 30 minutes. This is not the problem. We are talking about entire threads dissapearing when you delete one post. This happened before infopop worked on the software yesterday.
