I was asking for "what means 'did not win'".
Several others were too.
I read advice (was it Rick or Steve?) to use the archive search function. I did so and found a number of questions about 'did not win' but NO answer. I read the faq, it is not explained. So may be i'm too stupid, but even more stupid I find the lack of response to this question. So please:

could you simply explain what it means?

Ya it means you didn't win but we cant tell why you didn't win.

Normally it's because we place your snipe with eBay but their servers do not respond with any info one way or another whether you are the high bidder or your bid was too long. They just dont give any results.
