Last night something happend that I found very strange. It was my first snipe so I'm not too sure if this was normal so I thought I'd run it past you guys first.

At about 2 minutes to the end of the auction I was bidding on, I hit refresh on my browser to update the time left on the auction. I was doing this on both the ebay site and AS. I had been doing this for about an hour yet at this time (t-2min) when I refreshed I was given the message "unable to cancel snipe at this time" plus the item was added twice to my list of Snipes. I don't know how this is possible. I swear on my life I only hit refresh, I was no where near the other side of the screen with my mouse.

I don't want to be accussing anyone, or not put my faith in this service..but I'm just wondering how secure this site is with passwords...if it is hackable..and if a pending snipe can be detected by anyone (even the bill gates' of this world)outside of AS. Also, can AS find out if one account was active from two different IP's and if changes were made. I would like to investigate this a little.

Just curious about what happend,
McGones

Hitting refresh resubmits data to our site. It does this for all browsers and websites. Otherwise it truely wouldn't be refreshing exactly what was there the time before.

Nothing hacked. We just dont allow bids to be deleted 2 minutes before the end of an auction. At that ponit they are already queued up in our bidding engine waiting to be sniped.

Thank you
I have looked at several question to this and still no one has answered this. thanks

I have upgraded my account after the free 3 snipes, I have added 5 snipes now and tried adding more but they are not showing up, is there a limit for the number that may be added thank you
