Cant link snipe into browser on AOL

Tried doing what it said but got it into the tool bar but when i click on it when i am on an item it just takes me back to the snipe page but no box appears just the instructions again?

The other thing is when it says on your snipe iten READY in green does that mean it will place the snipe (in my case 8 seconds to go) and then the SNIPE PLACED will come up!
Its unclear , i feel like i have to place it so it comes up SNIPE placed? Could you make it more clear for me on both questions-Thanks

Check that you haven't got PopUps blocked (maybe press CTRL key when clicking on snipe it now) - I have no experience of AOL so maybe it's different!

Snipe ready means AS is ready to place the snipe.
Snipe placed means AS has placed the snipe - ie. bid on your behalf.

Whilst it is fairly straight forward it can be a worry the 1st couple of times - don't panic, AS works. I guess that, for every whinger who comes here, 1000 more are quietly satisfied!

Thanks for that! Just one more thing why does it not tell you that you are sniping on the "My E-Bay" page for the item (just a thought)
Does the seller no that there is a snipe being placed even though obviously not for how much.

AS is not a part of eBay. They don't display it because they don't know you're going to bid. Nobody but you knows... That's kinda the point of sniping... to keep your interest a secret till the very end.

As far as ebay is concerned, it is just a bid - it does not know how it was placed. Until AS places the bid, it does not exist, and no data has been submitted to ebay, only to AS.

Translation:
Does the seller know that a snipe is being placed in advance (although obviously not the amount)?

Answer:
No! AS bids on your behalf at the last second, until then, only you and the AS server know what's going to happen.
