I suspect, based on past experiences, that the problem you reported can best be resolved with the support staff.
RICK AND OTHER PARTICIPANTS. AS support picked up my post and immediately emailed me with a solution, which completely resolved the problem. The support rep had my snipe visible, but I could not see it, because I had to clear my cache by refreshing several times, logging off the site, and closing and re-opening my internet connection.

I am giving details for the benefit of anyone else who may encounter the same problem.

Thanks to you all, and especially to the great support rep who contacted me.
