Can't I keep my sniping currency always the same?

I'm sniping from Canada and sometimes I snipe Canadian auctions. Today I put a snipe on a Canadian auction, but used to sniping US auctions, I entered what I thought was a US price. Lucky I checked my snipe, because it was in Canadian dollars! If I'd let it stay that way, I probably wouldn't win the item. But I get nervous that one day I'll be sniping a Canadian auction and it will enter US dollars and I will pay more than I wanted to, or some other similar mishap.

Isn't there a prefs panel where I can specify what currency I always want to snipe in? That way I can always be assured I'm sniping the right price. If there isn't, there should be.

No. AS always snipes in the currency of the auction.

This is a function of eBay--the bid is always placed in the currency of the auction.

I realise this is possibly being overly fussy. But if like me you research a particular item and get used to understanding the price range it usually sells in in terms of USD, it's just a bit jarring to have to suddenly switch gears into another currency, although I admit the option of jetting to XE.com for the currency exchange is a click away.

Still, what I'm afraid of is one day absent-mindedly making a mistake.
