Are you only charged on successful snipes, or any snipes that are placed winning or not.. How about if the snipe does not go through because of too low of a bid or such?
I put a snipe in for an auction because I thought I wouldn't be home in time to bid myself. I did get home in time and cancelled the snipe. I didn't get the item (wouldn't have with the snipe either - it went for too much).
My question is, if I cancel the snipe and decide to bid myself and win the item on my own, will I still be charged by AS?
Hope, considering that it only costs a few cents to have AS bid, I am curious why you canceled the snipe. I always let AS bid on every auction for me, whether I am home or not. Occasionally, if I am at the computer when the auction is ending, I may also recall my pre-AS days two years ago and place a manual snipe, but this is in addition to AS, never in place of them. They are the best fallback I could ever have.

No, you wont be charged. You must delete it at least 2 minutes before the end of the auction however because at that point we've already put your snipe in the multiple computers at different places in california that do the sniping.
Chatter - I'm new to AS and still have free snipes left! If I'm home and it's convenient to sit by my 'puter - I'll do the bidding myself. Don't want to waste a freebie if I don't have to!
