I've been using AS now for several months and encountered a problem with several bids today. Last night before I went to bed I set up 5 snipes for auctions ending today, as I knew I would be working late. The first acution ended around 11:30 am and snipe was placed and I won the auction. The other 4 were never placed. I logged on to eBay tonight to find one had sold at opening bid (my snipe was double that), one had sold at just over opening bid (my snipe was 4X that) ect. Can you tell me why these were never placed? I checked under lost auctions and none of them are listed there. It's like the snipes I setup , never existed. This is the first time that this has ever happened.

Looks like an eBay screw up. I found them by doing All Snipes and sorting by Time to get the newest fist.

I think clicked the confirmation button.

The signin page was eBays Adult login screen. eBay was messing with the signin pages today around 5pm and your losses were a product of that.

Here is eBays announcement at 5:15pm

Now, they were supposed to turn on secure logins, not their adult items. I checked and you werent bidding in the Mature Audiences section of their site which requires an adult login.

Sorry about that. Not sure what happened but our code handled their transition perfectly, just looks like something weird went on with them for your auctions.

I'd bet your next batch will work. Try it out with 1 item to be sure and if it works then you'll be all set to snipe as normal.
Thanks Sara,

I was experiencing the popups on the SSL signup through them the night before but it had gone back to normal yesterday morning so I never related the incident. Looks like they cost me a couple of items. I am curious as to why there's no record of the snipes on your site however. Would I be correct that unsucessfully placed bids are not recorded in the lost auctions listing?
