Hi, I love AS. But had one really badly messed up set of bidgroups recently. In short, if the message "unresolved bid group" means what I think it means, seems to me that a gap of 30 secs between items is not nearly enuf to feel safe about getting bids placed right. Seems like even 4 MINUTES was not enuf, if I'm reading the results right.

I had 4 bidgroups, all for items with one seller. I.e. He listed about 12 items and in my mind they represented 4 kinds of items, call em (A), (B), (C) and (D). I had set AS up to bid till I won 1 item in (A), 1 in (B), 2 in (C) and 1 in (D). The depressing results were like this:

(A) ended 2005-12-12 11:34:41 bid too low
(B) ended 2005-12-12 11:35:02 Bid too low
(A) ended 2005-12-12 11:35:29 UNRESOLVED BIDGROUP ITEM
(C) ended 2005-12-12 11:36:16 Bid too low
(D) ended 2005-12-12 11:36:46 Bid too low
(D) ended 2005-12-12 11:37:34 Unable to sign in
(C) ended 2005-12-12 11:38:02 UNRESOLVED BIDGROUP ITEM (almost 2 mins after first (C) item)
(C) ended 2005-12-12 11:38:54 Bid too low
(B) ended 2005-12-12 11:39:16 UNRESOLVED BIDGROUP ITEM (4 mins after first (B) item)

This is a complete list of my snipes in this time frame. If someone's posted about this kind of problem before, forgive me & I'll shut up. Otherwise, in the introduction to bidgroups, when it says you should allow for at least 30 secs between snipes (or else AS will not place bids for subsequent items in the group), I think that should come with a big disclaimer that 30 secs or even a few minutes is not totally reliable. Or maybe there was a complication having to do with the fact that all the bidgroups were with the same seller? (PS, one and the same guy--with DEEP pockets--won ALL the items I was sniping; he seemed to be sniping manually, starting a couple of minutes before the end time for the 1st item.)
