bidding on buy now item

Can someone help me with a question. I have an item i would like to bid on that has a buy now price of 400. the bid now price is 200. I dont mind paying that but would like to get it lower. How do I do that with AS but still use the feature to buy now if needed. thanks heaps

Snipes aren't placed until the last few seconds of the auction. But, here's a question: what's going to happen if someone else does the BIN?
