Would like to know if someone bids like $2.00 on a bid, and I use auctionsniper and I make my bid to be $10.00,will I end up paying the whole $10.00 or the next maximum bid? Another question is today when I bidded on an item with auctionsniper it was less then what the other bidders put.So real fast I changed my ebay bid ,not auctionsniper because it wouldn't let me,to $5.00 making my bid higher then his(his bid was $3.50) At the end I ended up winning but I only had to pay $3.75. Im probably repeating my question but why did my bid change?

Hi, Ivettnorman. I try to answer you questions since I think I understand them correctly.

AS will submit the full amount of your snipe/bid. However, eBay will only use as much of that bid that is required to make you the high bidder. In other words, if you bid $10.00 but it only take $2.25 to win, you will only have to pay $2.25.

On the auction that you bid $5.00 on eBay, you only had to pay $3.75 because that amount is all that was required to beat the next highest bidder. If the next highest bidder had bid $4.50, you would have won and had to $4.75.

Try to keep in mind that when you set up your snipe you should set the maximum you're willing to pay. That way you won't have to rush in and have to bid manually on eBay at the last moment. Then if you lose, it's because it went for more than you were willing to pay. Wink
